Interpretation of pre-Spanish days
A very attractive and detailed vie of the ancient Aztec city of Mexico (Tenochtitlan) set within its lake and with numerous, rather European looking buildings. A numbered gazetteer beneath the panorama identifies nine locations and major buildings.
Emanuel Bowen (1694 – May 8, 1767) was a Welsh map engraver, who achieved the unique distinction of becoming Royal Mapmaker to both to King George II of England and Louis XV of France!
